WASHINGTON, La. — The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office report they have found a deceased male while responding to a fatal pedestrian accident on Pile Ridge Road, on Hwy 359 near Washington.
According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “At 4 p.m., our detectives were called to what appeared to be a pedestrian accident on Hwy 359 near Pile Ridge Road near Washington.”
Upon arrival, deputies say they located the body of a male victim lying near the road who had apparent trauma and was deceased.
Investigators say that no other information is being released due to it being an active case and notification of his family.
Deputies say they are attempting to locate witnesses in the area.
SLPSO says it is trying to determine if it was in fact a fatal hit and run or a body that was dumped on the side of the road.
