The Opelousas Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left one person injured.
Police say the incident occurred just after 3:00 am on Monday, July 20 in the 1300 block of Statesman Road.
One person was shot several times and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, according to police.
Family confirmed that the victim was shot more than once. They are also offering a $500 reward in the hope that someone will come forward with more information on the shooting and suspect involved.
No suspect or other details were made available.
The investigation is ongoing.
