PLAISANCE, La. — The Plaisance Water System announced that it will shut off water systemwide Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. until Saturday, Feb. 20 at 9 a.m. in order to build up its water pressure.
PWS officials say there will be a boil advisory in effect on Saturday until further notice after the water is turned on.
The water shutdown will affect the entire town of Plaisance, as well as some addresses in Opelousas.
