UPDATE: Phone lines are back on at the Church Point Police Department.

The Church Point Police Department is experiencing issues with their phone lines.
Chief Thibodeaux says that phone lines are down and only some calls that are coming through. Thibodeaux is requesting that if anyone in the Church Point city limits is needing assistance, to contact the Sheriff's Office or dial 911 in case of an emergency.
Officers will be dispatched internally from the Sheriff's Office.
Crews are working on getting the lines back up and running.
