Pauline Taylor of Opelousas is celebrating her birthday a few days early this year.
It's a special birthday for Taylor; she will turn 100 on August 18th.
Family and friends gathered at the IFBS Lodge in Opelousas to celebrate her life.
Taylor was born in 1919.
She said of the celebration, "it's special and an honor."
When asked what her secret is to living a long life, Taylor said she doesn't know that secret.
"All I can say is, God is in charge."
