Opelousas Police are investigating a shooting that left one person in serious condition early Sunday.
Police were called to the 300 Blk of S. Academy Street at about 5 a.m. Sunday. The found the victim in a public parking area, with multiple gunshot wounds. Police believe he was shot at least an hour before the call came in.
He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, police say.
No suspect(s) or motive is known at this time.
