Opelousas Police say a 70-year-old woman has been arrested, accused of shooting her husband.
Police in Opelousas say the woman, Hazel Edwards of Opelousas shot her husband during an argument Monday afternoon.
Following the shooting, Edwards called police, telling them that she shot her husband at their home on Statesman Road in Opelousas.
Her husband received non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Edwards was arrested on an attempted second-degree murder charge.
