An Opelousas man is facing a molestation of a juvenile charge after a parent made a complaint earlier this week with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office.

According to deputies, the parent told detectives that while the juvenile was at a friend's house, he fell asleep on the sofa. The man, identified as 18-year-old Jeremiah K. Alexander, carried the juvenile to the bedroom and placed him on the bed.

Later in the day, when Alexander gave the juvenile his phone to play games, the juvenile saw an inappropriate video involving himself and Alexander. The juvenile then sent the video to a family member in a text.

Detectives spoke with Alexander, who admitted to having the video on his phone. He was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail for Molestation of a Juvenile and his bond has been set at $5,000.
