An Opelousas man was booked on rape and molestation charges following an investigation into a complaint involving inappropriate sexual contact with a child.
Police say they began investigating the incident on Thursday, February 27 around 11:40 pm at a residence in Opelousas.
32-year-old Jeffery Stafford was arrested following that investigation.
Stafford was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on the following charges:
- Third degree Rape
- Indecent behavior with a Juvenile
- Molestation of a Juvenile
