New students coming to Opleousas Junior High were able to register for school during a drive-by registration.
On Tuesday, Opelousas Junior High hosted the registration which was for first time students entering OJHS. Those were incoming 7th graders and students new to the district.
Parents can pick up registration packets under the bus ramp near the cafeteria from July 6 through July 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Packets are asked to be returned on July 13, 2020 during those same hours as pick-up.
"When dropping off the packets, please be advised that copies of personal documents must be placed inside before returning them.," School administration said. "We cannot make copies at school."
The following documents are needed:
Birth certificate
Social security card
Updated immunization record
Two current proofs of residency in the parent or legal guardian's name/address. These may include utility bill, cable/satellite bill, land-line telephone bill, tax assessor's bill, original and current medical/medicare card, original homestead exemption or original mortgage or lease/rental agreement.
