The conditions in Opelousas have changed dramatically as Hurricane Delta makes its way through Louisiana.
KATC's Eman Boyd was at the Holiday Inn in off of the service road in St. Landry Parish.
Power to the hotel and the city went out at around 9:00 pm, she reports.
High winds from Hurricane Delta has caused shingles and roofing material to be peeled away. Those now littering the parking lot and walkways below.
The storm has been downgraded to a Category 1, but continues to make its presence known as it heads towards central Louisiana.
