Opelousas police say they are investigating a shots fired incident at an apartment building on W. Vine Street.
Police say the shooting occurred on Wednesday, January 29, just before 10:00 p.m. in the 1600 block of W. Vine Street in Opelousas.
Officers say that one apartment in the area had been struck by several rounds of gunfire. Bullets entered into at least two apartments, but no injures were reported.
A dark colored vehicle is believed to be involved in the incident. There are no suspects at this time.
Police say they are searching for a possible person of interest that may have been the target of that shooting.
An investigation is ongoing.
