Man wanted in shooting on Napoleon Avenue in Sunset

Sunset Police are searching for a man accused of shooting his nephew during an alleged argument.

On the day of October 8, 2020, at approximately 1140 am, the Sunset Police Department was dispatched to shots fired in the 900 Block of Napoleon Ave.

Officers located a man suffering from a signal gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Investigation determined victim was involved in a verbal altercation with the suspect, identifed as Michael Baloney AKA biscuit. Baloney is also the uncle of the victim. Michael allegedly produced a firearm shooting his nephew and then fled the scene in a white pickup truck.

A warrant is issued for the arrest of Michael Christopher Baloney for Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Baloney is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you know the whereabouts of Michael Baloney please contact the Sunset Police Department or your local agency.
