SUNSET — The man accused in a fatal shooting on MLK Drive in Sunset has been indicted.
The St. Landry Parish grand jury handed down a second-degree murder indictment against 37-year-old Walter B Savoie in the shooting death of Kendrick Lawrence.
Sunset police say the shooting which occurred on March 26, on W. MLK Drive was the result of an alleged dispute.
Savoie was arrested following that shooting on second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
