ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. - The boyfriend of a woman whose body was found dumped in St. Landry Parish has been indicted.

A True Bill (indictment) was filed against Robert Allen McPhearson, 34, of Pensacola, Florida, for the second degree murder of Alana Michelle Vanmol-Zucarro.

McPhearson was arrested on March 27 by the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office on an unrelated charge. While in custody, McPhearson allegedly voluntarily admitted that he was the last person to see Zuccaro.

Zuccaro had been missing since March 2019 when her body was found April 3 . Information on the location of Zuccaro's body and the circumstances of her death were allegedly reported to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office by McPhearson.

McPhearson allegedly dumped Zuccaro's body in a wooded area off Highway 103 in Washington, Louisiana before fleeing to Baton Rouge.
