A man from Texas has been arrested in connection with an October 2019 shooting in Opelousas.
Police say that Eren Wilson was wanted in a shooting on October 13 that left one person injured. The shooting happened at Academy and Blanchard Street in the city.
That shooting injured one person
He was booked on Attempted second degree murder, firearm with obliterated numbers, possession of Schedule I CDS, illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a CDS. Police say other charges Wilson is facing was part of another shooting investigation being handled by the Port Arthur Police Department.
On August 13, Wilson was arrested by the Pasadena, Tx. Police Department in an unrelated incident.
Wilson waived extradition and was transported back to Opelousas and was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.
