An arrest has been made in connection to an armed robbery at a St. Landry Parish bar.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, detectives arrested 28-year-old LeSean Conyers in connection with a May 31 armed robbery at the Cankton Country Bar.

The department says that two victims were allegedly robbed at gun point of over $4,000 in cash by another man Raheem Landry. Detectives say they were able to arrest Landry through tips, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing video footage on June 11, 2019 but continued the investigation after uncovering that Landry allegedly had help committing the robbery.

The Sheriff's Office says that Conyers was allegedly communicating with Landry prior to and during the robbery. Deputies say that Conyers was inside the bar giving Landry information on how much money the victim had on his person and the optimal time to commit the armed robbery.

Conyers was arrested on July 15 on one count of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. The sheriff's office says that Conyers allegedly refused to speak to detectives after his arrest. He was then processed in the parish jail.

Bond is set at $40,000.
