The proposed Chief Administrative Officer position in the St. Landry Parish government is on hold.
The parish council was supposed to introduce the ordinance creating the position tonight, but the council was two members short of a quorum.
That ordinance will now be introduced at next week's meeting.
The position is designed to take some of the burden off of Parish President Bill Fontenot, who is currently undergoing cancer treatments.
