St. Landry Parish held its inaugural Legislative Appreciation Day on Tuesday, February 4 in Opelousas.
The event was hosted by the St. Landry Parish chapter of Jobs for America's Graudates.
Special guests at the ceremony were Representative Dustin Miller and Senator Gerald Boudreaux.
JAG-LA works to identify 7th through 12th grade students facing barriers to education and guide them towards a path towards continued education, career and productive adulthood.
The ceremony happened at 9:00 am at the Opelousas Civic Center.
