The handcuffs used today on Eunice fatal shooting suspect Hi'Keam Wilson had ties to the victim's family.
Wilson was in court today for a hearing on whether he would be tried as an adult or juvenile. He was arrested earlier this week for the fatal 2018 shooting of Scott Daville.
Daville family friend, Eunice City Marshal Terry J. Darbonne placed the handcuffs on Wilson at the hearing. The cuffs, according to the Eunice City Marshal's Office, belonged to the father in law of Scott Daville, Charles Manuel.
Manuel is a former Louisiana State Trooper and former Eunice Police Chief.
Wilson was booked on 1 count of Aggravated Burglary and 1 count of 1st Degree Murder earlier this week. The Sheriff's Office says that Wilson will be tried as an adult.
His bond is set at $800,000.
