The United Cajun Navy along with local law enforcement and health organizations will be giving out food to Opelousas residents on Saturday.

The United Cajun Navy says that there will be fresh produce and milk at the distribution on August 8.

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm residents can drive up to the location at North Elementary school on MLK Drive to pick up a food box.

Around 2,000 families are expected to be feed on Saturday thanks to the distribution.

The Opelousas City Marhal's Office will be blocking the roadways to help with traffic flow to the distribution site.
