OPELOUSAS, La. - The first baby born at Opelousas General Health System is Amara Rose Edmond.

Edmond was born on January 2, 2020, at 3:44 a.m. weighing seven pounds, five ounces.

Amara's mom is Rachael Ricker, and her dad is Daniel Edmond.
