A Eunice woman is dead following single-vehicle crash Monday night on US Hwy 190 in St. Landry Parish.
State Police say the crash happened on July 6 around 9:15 pm near Desiree Road. The crash claimed the life of 34-year-old Jada Elizabeth Boulet of Eunice.
Troopers say an initial investigation revealed that the crash occurred as Boulet was driving eastbound on US 190. For unknown reasons, Boulet's vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a culvert before overturning.
State Police say that Boulet was not restrained at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
She was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Troopers say impairment is unknown and standard toxicology samples were obtained for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation.
