A Eunice man has been arrested, booked on two counts of attempted 2nd Degree murder in connection with a shooting on Nimitz and Fred Streets.

The Eunice City Marshal's Office say they located 20-year-old Devirdre Domal Doyle on Tuesday February 23, 2021, while on patrol. They say deputies knew of an outstanding warrant on Doyle for 2 counts of attempted 2nd degree murder.

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot say Doyle was in connection with a 10:30 AM shooting that happened Monday, February 22 at the intersection of Nimitz and Fred Streets. No reported injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Fontenot says that Doyle was out on bond and awaiting trial for an October 26, 2019 Attempted First Degree Murder charge.

Doyle was arrested and transported to the Eunice Police Department for booking.

Bond on the current 2 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder charges was reportedly set this morning in the 27th Judicial District Court at $200,000.
