ST. LANDRY PARISH — A mock wedding was held this week, giving the elderly a chance to strut their stuff down the aisle.
Tuesday, members of Mary Lee's House of Love Adult Day Health Care in Melville hosted a mock wedding. Members were able to walk down the red carpet wearing wedding attire.
The clothes were donated by local formal shops for the occasion. A cake was provided at the mock reception.
"Glamour and advanced years are not mutually exclusive, and we have the members to prove it," the group says.
