A one-vehicle crash that happened early Monday in Opelousas has claimed the life of a Breaux Bridge man.
Opelousas police say the accident happened about 2 a.m. Monday, when a vehicle crashed into a retaining barricade near the intersection of Judson Walsh and the I-49 Service roads.
Tige Cobbs, 47, was driving and for an unknown reason failed to negotiate a curve.
Toxicology results are pending. No other occupants were in the vehicle, police say.
