City of Eunice closing departments ahead of winter weather, Mardi Gras

The City of Eunice will be closing departments on Monday due to extreme weather conditions expected.

Mayor Scott Fontenot has ordered City of Eunice departments closed Monday, February 15, 2020 due to the impending weather.

The City Hall will be closed Monday, as well as all other city buildings.

Tuesday, February 16 is a City of Eunice holiday so all departments will be closed for the scheduled holiday, the mayor says.

Emergency and essential personnel will function under the Emergency guidelines and on-call policies.

Governor Edwards has declared a State of Emergency due to heavy rainfalls and wintry conditions.
