State Police say a Carencro man has died from injuries sustained in a July crash on LA 343 in St. Landry Parish.
Troop I says that 21-year-old Colby Deemer of Carencro died following injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash on La 343 at LA 761 on July 30.
An investigation by troopers found that Deemer was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry when he failed to yield at a stop sign and entered into oncoming traffic on LA 343. His vehicle was struck in the northbound travel lane of LA 343 by a 2014 Ram pickup truck.
Troopers say Deemer was restrained at the time of the crash and was transported to Lafayette General Hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries on August 3.
Standard toxicology samples were obtained from both drivers.
The crash remains under investigation.
