The Opelousas Police Department is reminding the public that barricades along the Creole Festival Parade route will be put up this weekend.

Those barricades will be secured in place at some point during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 3, 2019, according to police. The placement will cause cross traffic on city streets along the route on US Hwy. 190 and LA. 182 to be closed off until the parade is completed.

The barricades will be opened as soon as possible to allow for the regular flow of traffic.
