A dispute over a bicycle has led to the arrest of five people in Opelousas.
Police say that the altercation and shots fired incident occurred Tuesday in the 8:00 pm hour on Ina Clare Drive and Firlot Streets. Five people, including a juvenile have been arrested.
According to Opelousas Police, the disturbance, believed to be over a bicycle, allegedly began in the area of Ina Clare Drive and continued into the 1300 block of Frilot Street near the home of some of those involved.
During the altercation, a 15-year-old was stabbed and received minor injuries. Around 9 or 10 shots were allegedly fired at a home on Frilot Street. That home was occupied by 4 people at the time of the shooting. No one was injured.
