18-year-old arrested in connection with Sunday shooting on Larcade Street in Opelousas

An 18-year-old was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting Sunday on Larcade Street in Opelousas.

Police say they shooting happened on February 21, 2021 at around 1:30 P.M. They say that the shooting occurred after a verbal argument occurred between two men in the area of Larcade Street.

OPD officers learned that one suspect identified as 18-year-old Antonio Livings allegedly produced a handgun and fired several shots at a vehicle occupied by one of the parties involved in the verbal argument. The vehicle was struck one time by gunfire, police say.

No one was injured as a result of the shooting. Livings was located and arrested on Monday on a charge of Attempted second degree murder.
