LAFAYETTE, La. — A new date will be set for the 2020 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway following Hurricane Laura. The giveaway was originally scheduled for Sunday, August 30.
ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital sent the following message:
"The safety and well-being of our supporters, volunteers and staff are at the forefront of everything we do. Due to the unforeseen circumstances caused by Hurricane Laura, we are postponing the Acadiana St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway, originally scheduled for August 30, until further notice and will provide updates on stjude.org/dreamhome [stjude.org]. Our thoughts are with all who are impacted by this natural disaster. We appreciate your continued support of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.®"
