The forecast couldn't be better for the work week with plenty of sunshine on tap and pleasant temperatures through the next several days.

Highs on Monday will work their way into the upper 60s by the afternoon with a slight breeze coming in from the northeast, but not enough to create a wind chill.

The clear skies overnight will allow for temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 40s by early Tuesday morning so there's still a couple of chilly mornings coming up across Acadiana.

A slow warm up will take place through the rest of the work week and we'll be in the upper 70s by Thursday afternoon, ahead of our next front which will move through later this week.

Showers will fire up late Friday and continue into Saturday morning ushering in our next cool down.
