Showers move on but the clouds remain

Showers moved through Acadiana late Tuesday night so it's a soggy start to Wednesday with wet roads and full ditches across Acadiana.

While the showers have moved to the east the clouds are going to be a little trickier to get to clear, meaning there won't be much sunshine for the day.

The solid cloud deck will limit temperatures with highs moving into the upper 50s, and a strong wind from the north at 10-15 mph won't be helping much either.

Clouds will stick through the majority of the day, however, a little clearing will be possible later tonight which will send temperatures down into the mid 40s by Thursday morning.

Even with a little clearing the clouds won't be gone for long, instead clouds will return through the day on Thursday ahead of another possible round of rain.

Showers may bounce back Friday morning although it looks like the focus of the wet weather will be sitting offshore, but a few showers will be likely along the coast.

This sets us up for a really nice weekend with cool and sunny weather across south Louisiana.
