After seeing the moisture piling up over the last several days that build up has given way to showers across Acadiana to wrap up the work week.

Showers will stay mostly light and steady through at least mid morning, but without any serious downpours flooding won't be an issue despite it being a very wet start to the day.

While the active rainfall will eventually ease up later in the day Friday the clouds are still going to be sticking around, and there's not going to be much sunshine through the weekend.

The front will have moved through but despite that temperatures aren't going to have a massive drop, it'll be a little cooler on Saturday but highs will stick in the low 60s.

We've got a dreary couple of days coming up with patchy sunshine possible on Sunday, but even then the sunshine will be fleeting.

Our next front moves through the area on Monday sparking yet another round of showers, and maybe a few storms, but once again the cold air will struggle to get down into Acadiana.
