Scattered showers popping back up again Friday

After a round of showers Thursday evening Acadiana finally got a brief, but much welcomed, cool down after a round of intense heat set in last Friday.

The temperatures will be bounce back Friday afternoon, and while they'll certainly be plenty hot they won't push up to the range they were in early on this week.

Thursday's upper level low is still drifting to our southeast and as a result showers will be likely again at times through Friday afternoon although they'll be a little more scattered.

Once the showers wind down the rest of the weekend is looking mostly quiet, isolated showers will be the only real issue the next few days.

There's a surge of tropical moisture pushing into the Gulf this weekend and that will translate to a more unsettled forecast for next work week.

Showers will be possible every day next week and will likely peak toward the end of the week, stay tuned to KATC as we iron out the finer details of that forecast.
