A warm front pushed north across Acadiana Saturday sparking plenty of showers and summer thunderstorms through the afternoon.

Storms will struggle to hold on after sunset and only a few offshore showers will be possible overnight, the lingering moisture though will make for a muggy evening.

There's not a major defining feature for Sunday's weather and this time of year that typically means a little more of the same as the weather can take days to change.

While maybe not as numerous there is still a decent chance for some widely scattered showers through the day on Sunday, most of those driven by day time heating.

Plenty of sunshine early but clouds will build through the afternoon in enough time to limit the high to around 89, the heat index though will be much higher.

Not a major change in the weather either getting into the first half of the work week with a slight uptick in shower activity on Tuesday the only noticeable difference.
