It's been a great stretch of days across Acadiana in the weather world, but it looks like those days are numbered as a pattern change will push into Acadiana.
Clouds will gather through the day on Friday and thicken overnight with showers arriving late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
The front that brings these showers in will then stall offshore and keep the door open for some rain to move through the region during the weekend.
Colder air will filter in through the day on Saturday and another shortwave will kick up a round of cold, wet, and windy weather on Sunday.
Those cold temperatures linger into next work week with a chance for freezing again by early Tuesday morning.
Again we've got a good day on Thursday with highs in the mid 70s and lows down in the mid 50s with plenty of sunshine.
