There's another great day on tap for Wednesday in south Louisiana with the weather pattern staying quiet through the middle of the work week.

Sunshine will drive temperatures up into the upper 60s in the afternoon, with a cool breeze coming in from the north around 5-10 mph.

Despite a warm afternoon it'll still be a cool evening with temperatures dropping quickly once the sun sets and we'll see the lows eventually fall down to around 45 by sunrise Thursday.

Thursday will be the transition day with winds from the south bringing in more moisture setting the stage for the arrival of our next front.

Showers will pick up early Friday morning and continue through commute time before easing up in the afternoon and leaving us dry and cool for the weekend.
