Quiet weather pattern takes hold of Acadiana

Posted
and last updated

It's a very quiet pattern across Acadiana this week as we flip the calendar into August.

The only issue, as is normally the case this time of year, is the temperatures which will once again be pushing up into the 90s through the afternoon.

It'll be a hair muggier out there compared to Monday and the heat index will be back in the mid to upper 90s with plenty of sunshine across the area.

This time of year you can never truly rule out showers entirely but the rain chances will sit at a very generous 10% with very isolated showers possible along the coast.

There's not much change in the forecast over the next couple of days, in fact the rest of the week won't change much at all.
