Opelousas Police: Home with 8 occupants struck by gunfire, no one injured

Opelousas Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred just after 4 p.m. on Thursday in the 600 block of East St.

According to a spokesperson with the department, a home that was occupied by nine individuals, five adults and four children, was struck at least four times by gunfire.

There is a vehicle of interest that police need assistance in locating (see photo above).

No other information is available at this time.
