The absolute best of south Louisiana is going to be on display over the next several days as we turn the corner on summer and move forward into the middle of fall.

While there will be plenty of sunshine over the next several days the highs in the afternoon will stay fairly mild with highs in the low 80s both Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

A second front is going to move through on Thursday, and without any moisture to use it won't be able to produce any showers, but it will be able to reinforce some of the cooler air.

This means that temperatures will be a hair cooler headed into the weekend, before a third front knocks temperatures down yet again to start next week.

These fronts will do more than just keep us cool it will also help eliminate the threat of tropical weather as systems start to bubble back up again in the tropics.

A tropical wave in the south Caribbean will likely become a tropical system by the end of the week, but with those fronts moving through it will keep the impacts along the Yucatan.

This is a reminder that while our weather is going to be gorgeous the next several days we're still in the middle of hurricane season so we can't get complacent just yet.
