NASHVILLE — A set of new parents welcomed their baby girl, Saylor Elaine , into the world. But Saylor arrived in an extraordinary way.

She was born at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at 6:12 a.m., June 12, weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces.

The newborn was 21 inches long and by all accounts, mom and baby are happy and healthy.

Whether it's a stroke of luck, chance or divine ordinance, it looks like Saylor is going to be a very special girl.
