GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) - A second man has been arrested in the theft of 66 batteries from school buses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell tells local news outlets that 38-year-old Shaun Edward Necaise was arrested Wednesday in Gautier.

He's charged with motor vehicle theft and two counts of grand larceny.

Officials say Necaise and Adam Anthony Shaw stole a school maintenance truck and trailer, as well as the batteries from 33 school buses. The thefts were discovered Nov. 18. Shaw was arrested Monday.

The truck and trailer were found Tuesday in Harrison County, while some batteries were found Wednesday in Long Beach.

Necaise is jailed with bail set at $15,000. Shaw is jailed without bail because of an unrelated probation violation. It's unclear if either man has a lawyer.
