KOCO in Oklahoma reports that an airman stationed at TInker Air Force Base is being hailed a hero after a video of him helping an elderly woman with her groceries has gone viral.

Jibril Jones said he was driving down the road when he saw other drivers swerving to avoid something. He realized it was a woman struggling with her groceries in the 100 degree Oklahoma heat.

He stopped and began putting her groceries in the trunk of his car and offered her a ride.

She said she would love that.

Jones said he thought of his own family during the experience: "What if my grandmother was on the side of the road?

He drove her home, all while never even finding out her name.

The woman is 71-year-old Janice Jones.

Jones said he hopes to remind people to be kind to one another.

"It should just be about us helping each other."

KOCO spoke with the woman and she and appreciates his help.

"I really appreciated it and he was such a good man and you just don't find people like that every day."
