A number of Kenmore Elite Microwave Ovens are being recalled because they pose a burn hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recall includes about 700 units. The microwaves have incorrect wiring that causes the exterior to reach temperatures exceeding 183 degrees Fahrenheit, which poses a burn hazard to the user.
The ovens were sold exclusively at Sears and Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores.
The recalled ovens were manufactured on April 27, 2017. The manufacturing date is the first six digits of the microwave's serial numbers, each of which begins with 170427. The model number is 204.77603610.
There have been no reported injuries, but consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled ovens and contact Sears for a free in-home repair.
