JEOPARDY! will air Alex Trebek’s final week of new episodes from Monday, January 4 through Friday, January 8, 2021.
The show says that all five episodes were taped in late October. They say that, at the time, no one knew the episodes would be Trebek's last.
Monday's show will include a message on the season of giving from Trebek while Friday's show, his last, will include a special tribute to Trebek's 36+ years as the host of the popular quiz show.
JEOPARDY! says it will continue airing new episodes on Monday, January 11, with guest host Ken Jennings at the helm.
Trebek passed away on November 8, 2020 at the age of 80. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2019, and continued to host JEOPARDY! for the next 18 months.
His last day in the studio was October 29, 2020.
JEOPARDY! is currently in its 37th season of syndication and is watched by a weekly audience of 24 million viewers.
