About 70,000 ceiling fans sold at Lowe's stores across the country are being recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission because the fan blades can break off of the fan and cause injuries.

The recall involves Harbor Breeze 48-inch Santa Ana Ceiling Fans, model LP8294LBN, UPC code 840506599178.

The recalled fan has two dark walnut fan blades, brushed nickel blade arm holders, and a frosted white glass globe with a lightbulb.

The fans were sold at Lowe's stores nationwide and online from May 2014 through January 2016 for about $150.. Users should stop using the recalled fan immediately and contact the firm for a free set of replacement blade holders.

Manufacturers have received 210 reports of the fan blade breaking and 10 reports of the blade actually hitting consumers.
