The moisture has started to slip back into Acadiana after a couple of rare, dry summer days this week.
As a result it'll feel a little stickier outside through the day on Friday and even a few showers will be popping up through the afternoon, especially down along the coastline.
Highs are going to be back in the 90s Friday afternoon with the heat index pushing close to the triple digits, and lows will return back to the lower 70s.
The weekend looks a little more unsettled, however, with moisture streaming in to the forecast and sparking on and off again showers through the weekend.
It won't be worth canceling any plans over, but it will be a good idea to have a place to run to if the weather starts to take a turn.
This unsettled weather will last through the weekend and into next week.
