In Erath, a new playground at the town park is almost complete.
The Fourth of July Association listened to what the kids in the community wanted in the park, and donated the funds to make it happen.
"They have given back tremendously. We're sitting here in town park. We have a $50,000 playground they just purchased for us for the town of Erath and the kids," said Mayor Taylor Mencacci. "For the kids that ride these rides, this is the way they're giving back to the community. The kids, the kids that generate the revenue for the association."
